A lovely antique desktop inkstand dating from the late 19th Century. It is made of mahogany with an ebonised carrying handle and ebonised pen trays. It has two large glass inkwells on the top and a drawer below with small wooden knob. It stands on four small bun feet.
It is in good condition throughout and although it has been used it has been well looked after over the years. There are some small signs of age and use, a few minor knocks and marks but nothing detrimental or untoward. There are no major damages to the inkwells, just a small chip on the base of one (see photo) and the hinges are generally in good order.
