A beautiful Victorian box of the highest quality. It is Coromandel wood with a lovely rich patina and a domed top. It is decorated with ornate gilt brass studded mounts and comes with its original working key.
The inside of the box has been beautifully lined with marbled paper and it has a blue silk lined base, making it suitable for a variety of uses.
It is in good original condition and displays beautifully. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside and general signs of age and light use but nothing detrimental. The box has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
