A good example of a large antique copper jam pan. It is excellent quality made from a very heavy copper with a rolled rim and two brass handles. There is a Diamond registration mark stamped on the base which dates it to the mid to late 19th century.
It is in good original condition and displays well with a wonderful patina. There are no major damages, however there is a small split on the rim by one handle where it has taken a knock at some point. There are other signs of age and use, some minor dents, dinks and surface marks but nothing untoward. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
