A beautiful Victorian box of the highest quality. It is made of burr walnut with a lovely rich patina and a domed top. It is decorated with ornate gilt brass studded mounts with white ceramic cabochons and it comes with a working key.
The inside of the box has been lined with a pale blue velvet with a braided border, making it suitable for a variety of uses.
It is in good original condition and displays beautifully. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside and general signs of age and light use but nothing detrimental. The box has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
