A late Victorian brass standard lamp with triform base and stylised paw feet. It is an excellent quality piece and the design is similar to that of W.A.S. Benson. It has a central tubular upright and the top part is telescopic so the height can be adjusted. It was most likely originally an oil lamp which has now been converted to electricity.
It has been PAT tested and rewired to modern standards to take a bayonet bulb and has three switched bulb holders below a brass shade ring holder.
It is in good original condition. The brass has been lightly polished and it is strong and sturdy. There are some signs of age and use, some minor marks and a few small dinks around the base but no major damages and overall it displays well.
