A good quality brass table lamp dating from the mid to late 19th century. It was most likely once an oil lamp which has now been converted to an electric table lamp. It stands on a square stepped base with an ornate column and floral leaf detail.
It has been re-wired with a standard bayonet bulb holder and a traditional braided cable. It is in good working order and has been PAT Tested for electrical safety.
The lamp is in good condition. There are some minor marks and general signs of age and use and some small dinks and dents but nothing detrimental. The brass is tarnished in places but i
t has been lightly cleaned and polished and displays well.
