A lovely antique brass money bank dating from the mid to late 19th Century. It is made of cast metal with raised brass details. It is shaped like a building with a pointed roof and the words 'BANK' above the door. It also has an inset clock face above the slot for the money. There is a slot on the back where you'd have been able to collect the money which presumably would have had a cover at some point.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are signs of age and use, a few small dinks and dents here and there and some surface marks and knocks but no major damages. I have not over polished the brass to retain its natural aged patina but it could easily be polished further if desired.
