A very pretty Aesthetic style table dating from the late 19th Century. It stands on turned, tapering legs with its original castors below. It has two drawers and a raised gallery along the back edge. The table has retained its original finish with beautiful painted decoration around the drawers and table edge made to look like a banded inlay.
It is in good original condition and is strong and sturdy. There are general signs of age and use, some surface marks and stains, a chip on one knob and some light knocks and chips around the legs but nothing major. There are some minor losses to the decoration but nothing untoward or detrimental and the table has a lovely authentic aged patina.
It is rare to find a table so original. It has been cleaned and lightly polished to keep it as original as possible and is ready for use.
