A good example of a preserved Bream in its original glass display case. It has its original paper label dating it to 1909 "Golden Bream - taken near Horning Bridge 1909". It is a good specimen and it has been very well preserved and set in a naturalistic setting amongst river foliage.
It is in a good quality glass fronted ebonised wooden case with silver gilt slip. It has a good solid back and a label for the Taxidermist "W.Lowne, Naturalist, Fuller's Hill Aviaries, Great Yarmouth".
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. The fish is in good order with no deterioration and the background is clean and tidy with no major signs of deterioration or wear. The wooden case itself is in good condition with no major damages and has been lightly cleaned and waxed.
