An unusual continental pine tavern table, most likely originating from Sweden and dating from the late 19th Century. It has a chunky X-Frame base held in place by pegs with flat stretchers at either side.
It has a planked top with rounded corners and the whole top is removable and held in place with small pegs.
It is in good condition for its age and is structurally strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use and the top has various minor marks but it has a pleasing aged patina. There is old worm in the feet which has all been treated as a precaution and there have been a few old repairs to losses on the feet. There are no major damages and the piece displays well. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
