Gorgeous statement light. The Strand spotlight is a genuine theatre light dating from around the 1960s with an iconic retro shape and look. It has been polished and rewired with a new bulb holder to fit a standard bulb. It has also been PAT tested for electrical safety. The angle of the light is adjustable. It is fitted to a wooden tripod which once held a surveyor's level. The tripod is of the highest quality and is very sturdy, it looks like its made of pitch pine.
The whole piece looks great together. The spotlight is in very good original condition with its original lens and fittings and the tripod has a fantastic authentic patina.
The light is approximately 13" long and 10" wide at its widest point. The tripod when closed is 54" high. Set at a diameter of 30" (as photographed in the picture) the whole piece stands approximately 64" high although of course the height is adjustable.
