A small stripped pine chest of drawers dating from late 19th Century. The pine has a lovely warm colour and a smooth waxed finish. Each drawer has a turned wooden knob and it stands on bracket feet with a shaped skirt. It is a nice small size while still offering plenty of storage in three long drawers.
They are in good condition for their age. The base of one drawer has been repaired but each drawer is generally clean and tidy and they all open and close smoothly. There are some signs of age and use with light surface marks, minor knocks and a few old chips and splits but nothing detrimental. There are some minor signs of historic worm which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically. They have been cleaned and given a gentle wax and are ready for use.
