A small mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century. Excellent quality and very well made with a lovely rich patina. The top has a crossbanded edge and it stands on sweeping bracket feet. The drawers have brass plate handles which, although aren't original, suit the piece well.
It is in good condition for its age. The drawers open well, having recently had the runners restored and are generally clean and tidy inside with just a few old marks and stains. There are the usual small signs of wear, some minor old marks on the top surface and some repairs to veneer chips around the drawers but nothing untoward or detrimental. They have been cleaned and lightly polished and are ready for use.
