A small Georgian chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century. The front and top are mahogany with stained pine sides. They are good quality with a pretty crossbanded border and boxwood strung edging on the drawers. The drawers have brass plate handles and the chest stands on bracket feet.
It is in good condition for its age and has been repolished. The drawers open well and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are of course some signs of age and use, some minor old marks and knocks and a few small repairs on the corners and around the drawers but nothing untoward or detrimental. The back is clean and sturdy.
