A small mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century. Excellent quality and very well made with a lovely rich patina and grain. The top has an inlaid strung border and it stands on sweeping bracket feet. The drawers have brass plate handles which, although aren't original, suit the piece well.
It is in good condition for its age. The drawers open well and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are the usual small signs of age and wear, some minor old marks and knocks, some old repairs to the strung edge border and a minor split below one corner but nothing untoward or detrimental. They have been cleaned and lightly polished and are ready for use.
