A beautiful antique rocking horse in totally original condition, dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. The paint is original and a lovely dapple colour. It has a leather bridle and reins and a padded leather saddle with pale green rug underneath. It is set on a pine base with turned columns and metal supports.
The horse is a nice small size. The base is 3ft (92cm) long and 13" (33cm) wide and the horse stands 34" (86cm) tall to the tip of his ears.
The horse is in good condition for its age and displays beautifully. It has developed a wonderful aged and well loved patina from many years of use. There are signs of minor age and wear and the horse is missing its mane and tail. The paint has flaked and rubbed in places and there are some surface cracks in around the joints and legs. The base has some general knocks and marks but no major damages and it is sturdy and structurally sound.
The best description of condition comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask.
