An attractive 19th Century folding butler's table of small proportions. It has X-frame legs and the mahogany tray has raised sides and two carrying handles. It is excellent quality and has unusual hinged wooden supports for the tray, rather than the usual fabric webbing, giving it a feel of perhaps a military campaign piece.
It is in excellent original condition and the mahogany has developed a nice rich patina. There are signs of age and use, some wear and light knocks on the legs and a few surface marks but nothing untoward or detrimental and it displays very nicely. It is strong and sturdy and has been cleaned and gently polished ready for use.
