A lovely small Anglo-Indian trunk dating from the 19th Century with its original blacksmith made handles and latch. It is made of an exotic hardwood, possibly teak and is well constructed with dovetail joints. The lid opens to reveal a fitted interior with a sectioned top layer.
It is in very good condition for its age and has developed a lovely patina. It strong and sturdy with some minor signs of age and use, some small knocks and surface marks here and there but nothing detrimental. The hinges have been replaced at some point and there have been a few other small repairs but nothing untoward and it displays very well.
