A superb small oak chest of drawers dating from the mid to late 18th Century. They are made of solid oak with two small over three long drawers. They are excellent quality with panelled sides set on small shaped bracket feet.Each drawer has brass swan neck handles with matching brass escutcheons.
They are in good condition for their age and are strong and sturdy with a solid panelled back. They have developed a wonderful rich patina and have picked up various small knocks, marks and some old splits in the top but nothing detrimental or untoward. There have been a few old repairs and restorations but nothing untoward. They have been cleaned and gently polished and are ready for use.
