An incredible shellwork convex mirror by Tess Morley. The frame has been skilfully embellished with Tiger Cowry shells between borders of limpets and periwinkles.
Tess's work is internationally known and is highly prized in both America and Europe. She has carried out restoration work for The National Trust and English Heritage. Her work rarely comes up for sale and this example was purchased from a London gallery during the late 20th century.
The mirror is in excellent condition. There are a few minor losses but nothing detrimental and it displays beautifully. It has been lightly cleaned and is ready to hang.
