A good quality set of silver salts and spoons in their original fitted case. The salt dishes are elegant boat shapes with reeded detail and two handles. The matching spoons have ball finials. The interior of the salt dishes and the heads of the spoons are all gilded, although there is some wear and fading through use.
Each piece is individually hallmarked for London, 1898, Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. The total weight of silver is approximately 178g.
Every piece is in good condition. There are some minor signs of age and use, a few faint surface marks and minor dinks but nothing detrimental. They have been lightly cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
The box is good quality with a silk lining and fitted velvet base and the maker's name in gold under the lid. There are some minor marks inside the box and the thread holding one spoon is broken (see photo) but generally it is clean and tidy. There are some small scuffs around the outside of the box but nothing major and it displays well.
