A superb set of 6 Georgian tablespoons. They are in the popular 'King's Pattern' with beautiful fan and shell decoration. They are well made from heavy gauge silver, weighing approximately 380g in total.
The back of the handles are engraved with a very small name "Ellen" above the initials "MV" and the date "1836".
Each spoon measures approximately 7" (18cm) long and the bowl is 1 1/2" (4cm) wide x 2 1/2" (6.5cm) long.
The spoons are each fully hallmarked for London, 1836 and the makers "Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater".
They are in excellent condition with clear hallmarks. There are no major damages and they display beautifully. There are some faint surface marks and a few minor signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. They have been lightly cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
