Good quality set of dining chairs dating from the early 19th Century. They are made of Oak with a simple curved rail and turned front legs with sabre rear legs. Each chair has a drop-in seat pad which has been newly upholstered and covered in a good quality light gold fabric which compliments the chairs.
The chairs have been well used over a period of almost 200 years and have developed a lovely rich patina with layers of use and history. They have been looked after and maintained over the years and as such have some good old repairs, including repairs to the legs and joints but all of the chairs are strong and sturdy. There are a few historic woodworm holes in a couple of the chairs which have been treated as a precaution and have not affected the chairs aesthetically or structurally. The chairs have been cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
