A lovely set of 6 country ladderback dining chairs dating from the early to mid 20th Century. They are made of oak with woven rush seats and they stand on turned legs with pad feet joined by stretchers. One chair in the set is slightly different to the rest and a fraction taller but they still go together as a nice set.
The chairs are a good size and are comfortable to sit in. The seats are approximately 17 3/4" (45cm) high, 15" (38cm) deep and 18" (46cm) wide. The chairs themselves are 36" (92cm) high.
They are in good condition with no major damages. The chairs are firm and the joints are strong. There are a few knocks and light scuffs around the legs and some minor age-related marks here and there but nothing detrimental. They have all been cleaned and lightly polished and are ready for use.
