A good set of 6 side plates beautifully hand painted in the ever popular 'Crocus' design. They display very well and are unmistakably Clarice Cliff. The pattern shows her distinctive orange, blue and purple crocus flowers around a brown centre with green banding.
They are all fully stamped and signed on the underneath "Crocus. Hand Painted. Bizarre by Clarice Cliff. Newport Pottery England".

They are in good condition for their age. T
he colours have remained bright and vibrant and t here are no major damages or restoration. They have been well used and there are some light surface marks and knife marks to the centre of the plates and a small scuff on the back rim of one plate (see photo) but nothing detrimental and they display well.
