A lovely set of 6 antique silver fruit knives in their original fitted box. They are good quality pieces with sterling silver handles and stainless ends.
Each piece is fully hallmarked for London, 1933 and the maker Josiah Williams & Co.
They are in good condition with clear hallmarks.There are some faint surface marks but no major damages and they display beautifully. nothing detrimental. The join between the handle and the end has opened slightly on a couple but it isn't detrimental and they are certainly all still usable. They have been lightly cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
The set comes in its original silk and velvet lined box, with fitted sections to hold each knife. The interior of the lid is marked for the retailer "Wm Bruford & Son Ltd. 241 High Street. Exeter". The outside of the box is covered in a black material with gilt edge and a press catch to keep it closed. The box is in good condition and the interior is very clean and tidy. There are a few minor marks and scuffs but nothing detrimental.
