A good set of 4 Windsor 'bar-back' dining chairs dating from the late 19th Century. They have shaped elm seats and curved backs with a central bar and they stand on turned legs joined by H-stretchers.
They are not an exact matching set of 4, rather a pair and another two similar but they go together as a nice set.
The chairs stand approximately 32" (81cm) high. The seats are 14 1/2" (37cm) deep, 14" (36cm) wide and 17" (43cm) high, with some slight variations among the set.
They are in good condition with a nice colour. They are strong and sturdy with no major damages. There are signs of age and use, some marks and light knocks on the seats and around the legs and minor old shrinkage splits but nothing detrimental. They have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
