A lovely set of 4 "hollow stem" champagne glasses dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. They are a traditional shape with wide bowls on the top, fluted stems and a round foot.
The stems are hollow which is said to enhance the bubbles in champagne and other sparkling drinks.
The glasses are all in good condition for their age and are all very usable. There is a small crack on the rim of the foot of one glass (see photo) and also some surface bubbles but this hasn't affected the structure of the glass and there are no other damages. There is some minor wear and rubbing on the bases.
