A lovely set of 4 antique Sterling Silver salt dishes with matching spoons. They are stylish and good quality, shaped as shells set on three small ball feet with gilt linings to prevent wear or corrosion from the salt. They come with 4 matching spoons, also shaped as shells with delicate twisted handles and ball shaped finials.
Each dish and spoon are fully hallmarked for Charles Westwood & Sons, Birmingham, 1902. They weigh approximately 60g in total.
They are in good condition with clear hallmarks. There are no major damages and they display beautifully. There are some faint surface marks and a few light scratches and the gilt lining has worn on many of the dishes. They have been lightly cleaned and polished and are ready for use or display.
The set comes in its original fitted box, lined with velvet and silk with sections for each dish to sit in and small loops to hold the spoons. The box is in good condition with some minor wear around the edges and some old tape over minor splits on the rear corners.
Box : 11" (28cm) x 3 1/2" (9cm)
