A superb set of 12 Georgian tablespoons. They are in the popular 'King's Pattern' with beautiful fan and shell decoration. They are well made from heavy gauge silver, weighing approximately 753g in total.
The back of the handles are engraved with a very small name "Ellen" above the initials "MV" and the date "1836".
Each spoon measures approximately 7" (18cm) long and the bowl is 1 1/2" (4cm) wide x 2 1/2" (6.5cm) long.
The spoons are each fully hallmarked for London, 1836 and the makers "Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater".
