A lovely example of a traditional Scottish solid silver quaich cup. The tall cup stands on a small round foot with Celtic engravings on the rim and it has two handles with further Celtic symbols. It has a small roundel on one side which is marked S&N. It is a good quality piece, weighing approximately 283g.
It is clearly hallmarked for Laing the Jeweller, Edinburgh, 2002.
It is in very good condition. There are some faint surface marks and minor signs of age and use but no major damages or anything detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and displays beautifully
