A beautiful antique rocking horse dating from the early to mid 20th Century. It is in good original condition with lovely dapple markings and a full mane and tail. It has its original leather tack and padded seat with red velvet and gold fringed saddle. It is set on a wooden base with large square columns and metal supports.
The horse is a good large size. The base is 59" (150cm) long and 19" (48cm) wide and the horse stands 52" (132cm) tall to the tip of his ears.
The horse is in good condition for its age and displays very well. It has developed a wonderful aged and well loved patina from many years of use. There are signs of minor age and wear and the paint has flaked and rubbed in places and there are some surface cracks around the joints and legs. The base has some general knocks and marks but no major damages and it is sturdy and structurally sound.
