A good example of a smart rosewood library table dating from the early 19th Century. The top has a moulded edge with a shaped frieze below. It stands on shaped end supports, joined by a delicate turned stretcher with roundels at either end. There are turned bun feet below the legs with small castors.
It is a good quality piece and is beautifully finished on all four sides of the table, making it suitable as a centre table or side table.
It is in good condition for its age and has been repolished. It has a nice patina with a lovely rich colour. There are signs of age and use, minor marks and knocks and there have been some repairs on the top surface (see photos). However it still displays well and is a good sturdy table and is ready for use.
