A lovely example of a rosewood framed armchair dating from the early 19th Century. It is excellent quality with a beautifully carved frame with scrolling arms, carved flowers and it stands on ceramic castors.
It is a well proportioned chair with a deep comfortable seat. It has been recently upholstered in a pretty good quality fabric that compliments the chair with buttoned detail on the back and matching piping.
The chair is in excellent condition and is strong and sturdy. The rosewood has a beautiful rich colour and bold grain which has been nicely polished. There are signs of age and use, some small marks and knocks around the legs but no major damages. There are a few minor marks on the upholstery but nothing detrimental and it displays beautifully.
