An elegant regency fold-over tea table dating from the early 19th century. It has a beautifully figured rosewood top and the central shaped column has ormolu mounted leaf decoration. The four splayed legs terminate in brass castors with matching ormolu mounts.
The table top swivels and folds out into a large tea table with beautifully figured rosewood.
It is in very good condition and displays very well as both an open table and a narrow side table. It is strong and sturdy with no major damages and has been gently cleaned and polished. It is not without some minor signs of age and use but nothing untoward. There are some historic signs of worm in the base which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the table structurally or aesthetically.
