A lovely rosewood table dating from the early 19th century. It has a beautifully figured rosewood top on a delicate turned column and it stands on three legs with flat bun feet below. In the centre of the column is a round galleried shelf.
The table completely breaks down and each part is threaded - typical of campaign furniture. This piece likely belonged to an officer and was taken with him on his travels.
It is in very good condition for its age with a lovely rich patina. It is strong and sturdy with no major damages. There are some signs of age and use, small knocks and marks and some fading on the top but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is displays beautifully and is ready for use.
