A lovely small drop-flap work table dating from the early to mid 19th Century. It stands on tall elegant reeded legs with its original brass castors. There are two drawers at one end of the table and matching dummy drawers at the opposite end. The drop leafs are supported by small hinged wooden flaps.
It is made from the most beautiful 'plum pudding' mahogany with a lovely rich colour and patina.
It is in very good condition and displays well. It is strong and sturdy and the leaves are flat and easy to put up and the drawers open well. There are some general signs of age and use, some minor knocks, light surface marks and a very small chip on the edge of one drawer but nothing detrimental and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
