A superb mahogany side table dating from the early 19th century. It stands on delicate turned tapering legs with an arrangement of 5 drawers around wonderful carved fan-shape corner motifs. Each drawer has a turned wooden knob.
It is in very good condition with a beautiful rich patina. The table is strong and sturdy and the drawers open well. There are a few marks and stains on the top surface and general signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. There have been some minor old repairs to chips in the veneer around the drawers but it doesn't detract from the overall look of the table. It displays beautifully and has been gently cleaned and waxed and is ready for use.
