A good quality mahogany carver chair dating from the early 19th century. It stands on turned front legs with rear sabre legs and it has large scrolling arms. The horsehair stuffed seat has been covered in a good quality green leather-type material which makes the chair very suitable to use as a desk chair.
The chair is in good condition for its age and has a lovely rich patina. It has been well looked after and maintained over the years and as such has a few good old repairs but nothing detrimental and the chair is strong and sturdy. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
