A superb Georgian mahogany Linen Press dating from the early 19th Century. It has two nicely panelled cupboard doors that open to a shelved interior with all of the original oak linen slides. Below this are two short and two long drawers with the original brass plate handles and the whole piece stands on bracket feet. It is an excellent quality piece with a nicely shaped cornice, a lovely rich colour and it also comes with its original working key for the cupboard doors.
It is in very good condition for its age and has been lovingly re-polished. The interior is clean and tidy and the drawers open smoothly. There are some signs of age and use, some minor marks and small knocks but no major damages. There have been some minor repairs of the veneer in places around the drawers and the feet but nothing detrimental.
It splits into three parts - lower drawer section, upper cupboard section and the cornice - making it easy to move and transport.
