Product Details

A small mahogany drop-flap Pembroke table dating from the early 19th Century. It stands on elegant square tapering legs with its original brass cup castors. It has a drawer at one end and a matching dummy drawer at the opposite end. The drawers are inlaid with geometric ebony stringing and brass plate handles.

There is a pretty strung and crossbanded border running around the edge of the top and the drop leaves are supported by small hinged wooden flaps.

It is in very good condition for its age. It has been repolished and displays beautifully. There are some minor surface marks, signs of age and some very minor lifting on the crossbanded border but nothing detrimental and it is strong and sturdy. There are some minor signs of historic worm on the underside of the flap supports which has all been treated as a precaution. The leaves are easy to put up and the drawer opens well.
