A superb quality mahogany buffet dating from the early 19th Century. It has three tiers supported by turned columns and stands on its original brass wheel castors. There are two concealed drawers below the bottom tier which pull open from below. Each tier has a shaped gallery around the back and a moulded front edge.
It is in good original condition and is a sturdy piece. The quality really is superb and the figuring of the timber is beautiful. It has been gently waxed and polished and has a wonderful patina. There are some minor signs of age and use and some surface marks and a few scratches on the top (see photo) but nothing detrimental. The buffet runs well on its castors and is a solid piece.
