A lovely mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century, circa 1830. They are a good large size with an attractive bow front and they stand on sweeping bracket feet. The drawers have brass plate handles which, although aren't original, suit the piece well. There is ample storage with two short over three long drawers and the drawers come with the original key.
It is in good condition for its age with a nice colour and patina. The drawers open well and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are the usual signs of wear and use, some minor old marks and knocks and small splits and repairs to the veneer around the drawers, but nothing untoward and it displays well.
