A superb quality country house riding boot and whip stand, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is made of mahogany with a simple frame, elegant turned knobs for the whips and a slotted central board for the boots. Free-standing double sided form set on raised shaped feet.
Good condition overall with a lovely rich patination. Some minor surface marks and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. An old repair to a break on the boot slots (see photo) but now strong and sturdy. It has been gently restored and polished and displays beautifully, ready for use.
