A rare folding campaign table dating from the early 19th century. The hinged mahogany top sits on a folding x-frame base with fabric webbing supports.
The timbers and brassware are excellent quality as you would expect from a campaign item.
It is in good original condition and is strong and sturdy. It has been recently re-webbed making sure to carefully reuse the original wooden wedges that hold it in place. There are of course signs of age and use, some wear and light knocks on the legs and a few minor surface marks but nothing untoward or detrimental and it displays very nicely. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
