A charming pair of late 19th Century Staffordshire sheep spill vases. They are modelled as a male and female pair on naturalistic brown and yellow painted bases with upright open trunks behind them. They are good quality and have been well modelled with textured 'wool', delicate painted features and gilt highlights.

They are in good condition for their age. There are typical minor flaws and small nibbles, some slight fading to the paint and gilding but nothing detrimental. There is a small chip on the rear of one trunk (see photos) but otherwise no major damages and overall they display very nicely.
