A fine example of a pair of solid Sterling Silver candlesticks. They are stylish and good quality with a classical column design on a stepped base with beaded detail. The base is weighted and the tops are removable. They are both hallmarked on the base and the tops for Mappin Bros, Sheffield, 1898.
They are in good condition for their age. There are no major damages and they display beautifully. There are some faint surface marks and small knocks on the tops and some minor dings commensurate with age but nothing detrimental. They have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
