A fine example of a pair of solid Sterling Silver candlesticks. They are stylish and good quality with a classical column design on a weighted stepped base with beaded detail. There is an intricate oak leaf and acorn design winding around the columns.
They are both clearly hallmarked on the base for Sheffield, 1889 / 1890 and the maker Hawksworth Eyre & Co.
They are in good condition for their age. There are no major damages and they display beautifully. There are some faint surface marks and small knocks on the tops and some minor dings commensurate with age but nothing detrimental. They have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
