A fine example of a pair of solid Sterling Silver candlesticks. They are stylish and good quality with a classical square tapering design on a stepped base with beaded detail, acanthus leaves and tulip shaped candle holders. The base is weighted and it has both of its original removable sconces. They are both clearly hallmarked on the base and the tops for Thomas Bradbury & Sons, Sheffield, 1891.
They are in excellent condition for their age. There are no major damages and they display beautifully. There are some faint surface marks and small knocks on the tops and some minor dings commensurate with age but nothing detrimental. They have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
