A good example of a pair of heavy brass altar candlesticks dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. They have a flared stepped neck and round stepped base standing on three ball feet. They are excellent quality made from solid brass and are incredibly heavy.
They are in good condition for their age although there has been a soldered repair around the rim of one (see photo). There are no other major damages and they display well. There are some faint surface marks and small knocks and some minor dings commensurate with age but nothing detrimental. They have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
